1982 highlights
What happened for Paul in 1982
In April 1982, “Tug Of War” was released, and became number one hit in many countries, selling over one million copies in the United States in the year of its release. “Ebony and Ivory“, one of the singles from the album, was Paul McCartney’s record 28th single to hit number one on the Billboard 100.
Work started on the follow-up album, “Pipes Of Peace“, to be released at the end of 1983. And in November, McCartney also started working on a project which would keep him busy for two years, his first (and last) movie, “Give My Regards To Broad Street“.
